Default Mandatory intro post

Just doing the intro post thing. It's a bit weird, the forum I mainly hang out on frowns upon "hi I'm new" posts, but I guess this is a more intimate setting. Anyway, longtime rum lover from Australia who, once seeing the light and getting away from Bundy, has never looked back. Currently working at The Bowery cocktail bar in Brisbane and looking at starting a some kind of chemical engineering degree in the next year or so, while learning what I can and collecting business cards from any distillers I might bump into.

Favourite rums include Appleton 12 yr old, Angostura 1919, Pussers 15, the mighty Wray & Nephew OP, and of course, Ron Zacapa.

Thanks for the introduction and welcome to the forums. As you'll see it's nice to know something about the members and it helps keep down the spam.
