Default Hello From Vancouver, Canada

Hi Everyone from Vancouver!

I look forward to talking about my favorite spirit with all of you. I've been collecting for a few years but a recent trip to Cuba (where I bought a bottle of the HC Barrel Proof) has really set me off on a collecting binge. My favorites so far are the Appleton Master Blender's Legacy, Mt Gay Extra Old and the El Dorado 12 and 15.

In reading through the forums, there seems like a lot of members from Vancouver. Has anyone set up a local chapter or tasting group here?

Cheers!

Welcome to the forums. There are indeed a number of rum lovers from your part of the world. And I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can head up to SW Canada myself.

I don't think so...name the place, we'll make a night of it.

I don't want to jack your thread, so Im going to start a BC Thread to see who's out there. Please add your name.

Welcome Vanpatt!

What part of Vancouver are you in? I'm in the Deep Cove area. I'd be game to do a tasting locally!

I live in Coquitlam and work downtown so I'm pretty flexible on locations for a get together. I can actually paddle my Kayak over to Deep Cove from Belcarra quicker than it takes to drive (although that might be a little scarry getting home after a night of drinking rum!). I'll respond to the BC thread as well and hopefully we can figure out a time and location that works for all.
