I am interested in this one as well. I have been searching for a place that carries this and will ship to my state. I think my best bet is to order from Hi Time and have it shipped to my wife's uncle in CA and then have him ship it to me.

It's a wonderfully easy to drink rum, sweet start, rich flavor, smooth easy finish. It compares well with Zacapa 23 and Diplomatico RE.

I love this rum. It does have similar traits to Ron Zacapa 23, and just like Zacapa, I suspect that it is a solera rum. I first Kissed this Costa Rican rum at the Ybor city Rum event in 2006. The guys importing the rums into the states didnt have much information regarding the production process of the rum, but they knew they had a great product on their hands. I'm hoping to bring some over here to the UK in the near future, as mines is nearly finished.
Great packaging as well....

Suddenly, I've seen this rum at many liquor stores in the past 18 months. IWS is distributing here in Florida (also Santa Teresa) and doing a good job. This is the pride of Costa Rica.

WOOHOO!!! I just found a place that will ship this to Delaware...I ordered a bottle of this and a bottle of Oronoco which I have heard nothing but good things about. Can't wait to try it.

A very rich, complex rum from Costa Rica. On the sweeter side. I prefer it after a heavy or spicy meal, and another good thing about it is that it can stand up to full bodied, stronger cigars.

I agree with all the positive comments on this one.

I just picked up a bottle this past weekend without knowing much about it - yes the packaging caught my eye. I think it was around $35.

As I always do, I opened it right when I got home for my wife and I try a little bit neat. Very nice. It was slightly sweet and rich with a little bit of burn on the attack, but a nice long finish. It would be good with a cigar.

I think it will be a decent replacement for the Zacapa 23 I can no longer find (and hope does not reappear at the rumored $50+ price tag).
