Exclamation Please help identity this 50+ year old unopened rare bottle (picture included).

Hi, this is a 50+ year old bottle of rum that is up for auction. Could you please help me identify who made this and let me know if what you think of it?

It's actually a relative of mine selling it and I'm just a bit curious...

What could it be worth? Current bid when postin is aprox $200.

I do not think they would produce such a picture on a bottle today....

EDIT: Picture seems to be missing. Please follow link.

I generally moderate this kind of post as the poster didn't introduce himself, this isn't an auction site and the purpose of these posts is to gain interest in auctions on other sites. This auction site appears to be in Sweden and I can't endorse this or any other alcohol auction site.

This bottle looks to be a private label without the name of a distiller or producer on the label. I don't generally give these things a lot of value, over the cost of a bottle of rum for a collector.

When I dream up a better job, I'm going to take it. In the meantime, the research continues.

Sorry for missing out on presentation. I was not aware on the policies and rules here. Thanks for answering anyway!

I have off course google alot before asking here and I assumed the brand was "Rhum Caiman". I got a few hits, but it was mainly for posters and labels. Both looked quite similar though:

There has been a recent "boost" in interest for rum in Sweden and I guess that will provide a little extra interest in an auction. I am still a beginner and the selection of rum here has been quite limited, mainly due to small interest, but also due to that direct consumer sales is still handled by goverment (no private shops).
