The Rum House -- New Orleans

Hey all,

As a part of my ongoing deployment adventures down here in Louisiana, I've been using my days off for the good of mankind and the furtherance of our knowledge of rum.

Found a fantastic bar on Magazine Street in New Orleans called The Rum House. This place is awesome. Lots of good rum on the menu including most of the favorites listed here. The owners love talking about good rum, and do take suggestions. The menu is Caribbean inspired cuisine, and the food is excellent. Great atmosphere, good drinks and good food = a must visit if you come down here.

Ditto to everything said above - great food, extensive rum list, good prices, and friendly staff. What more could you want?

Paired with a tour of Celebration Distillery (Old New Orleans Rum) = a perfect day!

I'll be in New Orleans this December and plan on going there after I saw the Rum House featured on an episode of 'Restaurant Makeover' on the Food Network.
