Default Area 51 Visit

Today I was visited by the Dood and family. I was quite enjoyable to share a bit of this passion with others in person. Dood, thanks for coming by!

I'm glad you had a chance to meet. I'm jealous that I won't make it down to Texas until at least next month.

I head out on the road late next month, but if you are nearby before then we should certainly get together.

I just posted this in the Ypioca thread, but I'd like to thank Dan again for entertaining my family and me. It was a great experience that, if there weren't patents pending and business budding, I could fill a book with.

The visit has also stiffened my resolve to attend Tales of the Cocktail in 2008 in the hopes of meeting more of my friends here, as well as giving me the opportunity to buy Dan a drink.

Feel free to talk about where I am going with flavors, really almost anything except the actual techniques involved.

I'll be posting more about the 2008 Ministry of Rum Tasting Competition after the new year but I'd like to invite you to be a judge. From your comments on this forum I'm sure you would bring some talent and a discerning palate to the competition. And next year the rum competition will be held earlier in the week so I can have time to enjoy New Orleans and spend some time with some of the people who have come to Tales.

It was the magic of distilling and blending that drew me to this job. If you knew everything it wouldn't be magic would it?

Now THERE is some serious artillery to use in convincing my better half that I HAVE to attend.

I am constantly amazed by those that consider that we cannot better upon that which our predecessors have created.
