Smile Greetings from up North

Hello everyone. I have been visiting this forum for about a year now and finally decided to join. The information in the various posts by the members here has helped me find many a good rum and so I extend my appreciation to all who have contributed.

As you can probably guess from my name/handle I live in the nether reaches of the north where Rum is hard to find. Fortunately I travel a lot and so I have had the ability to collect a reasonable quantity of rums from various locals.

My favourite (so far) is Flor de Cana 7 yr old. I will share my thoughts on this rum and many others as time goes by, and I will continue to read the great posts of this forum's contributors.

A couple of drams of rum can certainly help ward off the chillblains in your locale.

Welcome to the forum.

Sorry for bringing this post up again but I have a side note, theres a good Drink made with FDC (usually a white though) el macua

2 parts FDC
2 parts Guava juice
1 part lemon juice
sugar to taste
1 cup of ice

Blend all these ingredients together and serve with either a lemon slice or orange slice. Usually this is made with white but seeing how you love the 7yr wolfie it might be interesting to try.

Hmmmm

I'll have to try to find Guava Juice.

Normally I'm a Rum and Coke guy but lately I have had the urge to try some fruity cocktails. When I was in Tobago years ago they served a delicious Rum Punch at the Turtle Beach resort but alas I was never wise enough to get the recipe. I guess I'll meandor over to that recipe section and check it out

Thanks RonJames.

PS Is that Ron as in Ronald or Ron as in Rum?
