Default Hey From SoCal

Hey All,

I love this site, finally joined...

Used to enjoy sipping Tequilas and Scotch, never really thought much about Rum aside from the occasional tropical drink, and the memories of bad Rum n' Coke headaches.

I was given a bottle of Ron Zacapa Centenario 23 by a friend returning from Guatamala, and knew after my first sip that I had found a new hobby.

I've been trying different types since, and I have come to really enjoy the nuances in each one. I love tasting Rums!

My wife thinks I'm crazy buying all this rum all of the sudden, but funny thing is, she seems to enjoy it as much as I do. Her favorites are Zaya (Trinidad) and Pyrat XO.

Mine are the Zacapa 23, Zaya (Guatemala... I've still got two bottles left), and Pampero Aniversario.

This site helps me get ideas on what to try, and what not to waste money on... keep it coming!! See you 'round...

Cheers

Welcome RubberHead. This is a great site for rum information and there are some excellent rum sellers here in SoCal. Glad to hear your wife also enjoys.

Thanks for the king words and taking the time to join this forum. Getting some inside information on rums is just one of the benefits to members of this site. And SoCal has some good places to shop, at good prices as well.
