Rum & Cigars

Few things go together better than a glass of good rum and the right cigar, except maybe more rum.

Default Christmas cigars anyone?

Who received cigars as a holiday gift this year?

Christmas 1996 my wife bought me cigars for the first time. They were Papayo brand, which were horrible. Only thing she did wrong was believe the guy that sold them to her. She has given me a cigar "gift card" ever since so I can buy what I want. This year I ordered 2 boxes of Ramon Allones Superiores, released to La Casa del Habano stores a couple years ago. Supposedly only 5000 boxes of 10 cigars were rolled, but box date on these is Nov 2014. I'll probably light one up New Years Eve and make some tasting notes. I'm a big fan of the Corona Gorda size and am looking forward to these.

Default Online cigar retailers I trust

Not sure how much you know about cigars and where to buy them. I recommend cigarplace.biz, atlanticcigars.com and cigar.com. Great online retailers!

I don't have any trouble buying them, that's for sure. Thanks for those sites. I've never tried them. I buy local when I can, but also use Holts, Famous and several off shore merchants.
