Since your content has nothing about rum in it, I'm curious: what made you think a rum blog would be the place to advertise it?

Well, I wouldn't say that my content has nothing about rum in it since there are some cocktail recipes, an article about a distillery that makes a flavored rum, and a brief rundown of the rum choices at Lollapalooza.

I don't think that a rum blog is "the place to advertise it" as such, but since I'm a member with a site of interest why not post in the "Member sites of interest" thread?

Also, most rum drinkers enjoy visiting the Caribbean from time to time;
I have some articles on Trinidad and some on Dominica, and I'll be doing a lot more Caribbean-focused content in the near-future.

I've just read your review of "El Dorado Bonded Reserve". This was the first rum I ever bought - must have been early 1984 - and your post brought back happy memories.

I got it at a marvelous little shop in Ealing High Street (West London). The shop is no longer there, but they had some amazing odds and ends such as Cavalier and Mount Gay Sugar Cane Brandy, neither of which I've ever seen in London since.

Unfortunately it (the shop) is now an estate agents , but every time I walk past I remember my first bottle of rum.

It certainly raised fond old memories for me too. That's one of the reasons I bought it, and wrote what I did.
