Default What are you drinking today?

As my fledgling rum trek continues I have opened a bottle of Zaya 12. This is a really enjoyable bottle. It is a Trinidad bottle and on the sweet side but not overly for my tastes. Rich and smooth, this bottle is a keeper for me.

At the moment I am enjoying a glass of Cruzan Single Barrel. This one has recently become one of my favorites. It is one that I always try to keep in stock!

Cockspur VSOR with a bit of coconut water, cane syrup and key lime. The rum really comes through with a lot of flavor, the tropical flavors marry well.

Sending myself to bed after a nice pour of Barbancourt Estate Reserve 15. To me a strong citrus nose maybe a little lemon? Nice oily smoothness with a surprising bite in the finish. I'm definitely in need of more shelf space.

At the moment nothing.... although I couldn't if I wanted to. Liquor was the first to be moved to our new house. Which we just closed last Friday (the 13th).

Essentials of a move. TP, booze/beer, and a stereo!!!

congrads kvh64, just finished a santo libre (brugal blanco, lime wedge, sprite, ice) and am passing out as I am writing this. Enjoy the house and open something good.

At the moment I am haning out with some Appleton VX. Good stuff, real smooth.

But for the last 2 weeks I have been eating up some Sailor Jerry, been in that type of mood I guess, so tonight I decided to settle down with one of my favorites.

young0076, as a former Marine, and, in honor of your former choice, I am having the Sailor with a splash of Allspice Dram and a gentle squeeze of grapefruit. All of the aforementioned shaken hard with ice, then, strained. The result is superb.

I don't think I'd waste Allspice in that drink, though a little goes a long way.

When I dream up a better job, I'm going to take it. In the meantime, the research continues.
