What do you think, confidentially of course? |

I'm with you. I bought a bottle of this last November and just recently opened it. Now I'm wishing I'd bought a case!

I'm pretty sure I used to drink something called Hudson's Bay rum when I was a kid in Calgary/Banff. Say around '66 or '67. No idea if it was good, bad or indifferent. It was just there and I was drinking for effect, not necessarily for taste. But nobody else can remember it either. Was I imagining it?

I'm a little late to your request, but my late father-in-law drank Hudson's Bay rum, so I did too! It apparently was inported from Jamaica in bulk and bottled in Canada. It probably had some Canadian content for taxation purposes. It was a really dark spirit so it also might have had some colouring. Blast from the past.

I bought it in Myrtle Beach a few years ago. Cool bottle. I liked it, even if I usually don't like navy-style rums. I would buy it again.

Thank you rumtyro! Nice to know I'm not losing the plot entirely. I know I liked it better than Coruba, but 45 years later I have no idea why.

I wanted to taste Pyrat Cask 1623 really bad. I recently conducted a small search online and every store stopped distributing, at least those near my locale. I managed to locate a Japanese vendor with cheap price, too (less than 250$), but the import cost is probably going to be like, huge! That is, assuming that they can send it over and they still have it available for sale, of course!
