Cool Intro

I am known to many as anton..i am a lifelong lover of fine (and sometimes not so fine) rums and many other spirits..i am originally from cuba and family from another rum producing country, the canary islands..i have done quite a bit of traveling and believe i have tried a good many rums from around the world..the most out of the way, by the way, was from nepal and surprisingly good! I am alover of fine foods, strange foods, traditional cuisine and will try anything..especially native brewed and fermented beverages..practicioner of martial arts, former writer and teacher and currently a physical, i think that's a proper intro to get us started..have loved this website for quite some time but never hello fellow rummies!- i guess that applies huh?

Welcome to the forums JRANTON. It sounds like you've had many interesting opportunities to try some great and not so great spirits. It's amazing how people drink what they are used and end up liking it a lot. Maybe it's the alcohol more than the taste.

When I dream up a better job, I'm going to take it. In the meantime, the research continues.
