I'll try the U store. I live on Queen Anne, by the way. The problem I have with U Village is parking there. But for good, rum, what's a bit of parking hassle?

The 4th Ave store is also very well stocked most of the time, and has a section devoted to better rums. Not the usual shelves with Bacardi, Monarch and the lesser stuff, but a kiosk with rums filling up two end caps on one set of shelves with the more desirable brands.

I just came back from Seattle. After reading over the forums looking for good liquor stores to check out I went to the 4ave store. I was there this past Saturday which happened to be the last day they were at that location. So FYI the 4ave store is now located at 2960 - 4th ave south.

While there I was able to get a bottle of Zacapa 23, Pamperro Aniversario, and Cruzan Blackstrap. All three I have not been able to find in my part of the world but I'd been wanting to try.

Nice haul and you were able to save some money in the deal.

There is only a parking issue in the U Village if you only if you go there midday and don't know where the parking garage is. There is a new parking garage located in the Northern Area next to The Ram and Crate N Barrel. In addition, Safeway's parking lot is to the back of the Liquor store, 2 minute walk.

Nice! I am quite familiar with the stores in Seattle and the Eastside (Bellevue/Kirkland), particularly, how accurate the online quantities they list - it is usually not accurate +/- 1 - 2 bottles. Calling first is a good choice from previous experience for stock. The 12th/Pine and Aurora/80th stores also hold a different variety of rums as they special order more frequently.

Default Rum lovers in Seattle Get together for National Rum Day?

I'm New to Ministry of Rum and with August 16th being National Rum day - would there be any interest in other Seattle based Rum lovers having a get together for the occasion? If so what would be the best location?

Liberty Bar?
Elliots Oysterhouse?
Causalita's Cafe?

If there is enough interest, I'd be happy to get a Meetup going!

I know this is quite the old thread...but I just got to the forum and am poking around. I think the best bar for rum in Seattle is by far Rumba on Pike and Boren. Amazing selection and amazing staff.

McMenamins Anderson School in Bothell has a bar called the Northshore Lagoon. I walked through and saw a nice selection of rum.

What really jumped out is that they had Diplomatico Reserve. This was interesting to me because I can't seem to find it anywhere in town.
