Blackwell's is a good mixer. I use it for hot toddies and hot buttered rum.

Yeah. i should learn to mix. Trouble is my rum time is usually bedtime and mixers make you pee an extra time or two in the middle of the night. So I have a sipper while I look at the ministry posts.

As a college kid I bought Ten Cane... absolutely never ever ever again. Others on that list are St. Paul, anything by Sammy Hagar, and anything by Koloa or Maui. I bought a couple of bottles of Rhum Baita for novelty (note it's not an agricole, but the label does spell it "rhum") but wouldn't otherwise.

I won't be buying any more Rum with added sugar and/or flavorings..... like the ones that got me interested in Rum in the 1st place.... the Diplomaticos, Plantations, El Dorados, Vizcayas, Zacapas, etc. Once the information on adulterated Rums sunk through my thick skull, I just felt "dirty",..."used",... "suckered",... etc. I might feel differently if they were honest about it and listed the additives,... but probably not. I've since limited my buying and consuming to "honest" Rums with no added sugars, etc.
