Lol what would be the harm in using the term agricole. Is it not rum produced directly from agriculture, as opposed to molasses, the industrial by-product.

Or are you saying it 'shouldn't' from the PoV of marketers
to maintain the notion of exclusivity for an AOC product?

Regardless, just seems to me that pot still could potentially produce a superior agricole, in regards to flavor notes desired in agricoles. But the reason they aren't used is more or less just the tradition of the majority of makers (Martinique). Well and of course the production potential of columns for massive plantations.
