It's an adequate mixing rum - streets ahead of Bacardi anyway.

It's now extremely difficult to find the cheaper El Dorados in London. Most retailers only stock the 15 year old, the 12 year old and occasionally the 3 year old white. Most of the white rum produced by DDL is shipped in bulk to Europe and bottled here under a variety of labels. The Superior White is in this category, whereas the 3 year old white is, I understand, aged and bottled in Guyana.

I met DDL's representative in London a few months ago, and although she was very helpful, she didn't think that availability of El Dorado in the UK would improve.

Still, that won't be of any concern to you in the Netherlands where, I believe, there is no shortage of any of the El Dorado range.
