If you believe that nothing has ever been added to any bottle of bourbon you are in denial of the facts. Earlier this year I learned that up to 20 grams of sugar per liter may be added to cognac. And it was disclosed a few years ago that many cognac producers were adding caramel in addition to the legal amounts of sugar. The argument was that caramel was sugar, but it didn't fly in the public eye.

I have no problem with spirits manufacturers that add things to their products as long as they don't tell me that they don't do it. If they don't tell me otherwise I assume there has been something added. Now, if you tell me you don't add anything to your product and I learn otherwise, I will talk about it on forums like this.

However, this is not the place to make accusations against producers without proof of your assumptions.
