Default Don Q Grand Anejo

Ever since the venerable Robert Burr turned me on to Crown Wine and Spirits (via UPS from FL) for Ron Atlantico, I have found other "East Coast rums" on their website. Now, a couple bottles of Don Q Grand Anejo (commemorative packaging) has come to my door. What a spicy treat! A full burn on the initial sip tells you this is a real rum-lover sipper. Wood, pepper, and nuts hit you afterward. The finish is mildly (good) bitter with a light burn. I can see why the people on Puerto Rico have embraced Don Q as their favorite son. Nothing in the Bacardi line reaches out and womps you like this one. That's coming from a guy which loves the gentle (by comparison) 8 Anos or Reserva Limitada.
