April 30th

Norman Bonchick, CEO of Van Gogh Imports and Daniel Fabrega, Export Director of Ron Abuelo Rum, announced the signing of an agreement to make Van Gogh Imports the exclusive U.S. importer of these super premium aged rums from Panama.

Ron Abuelo rums are crafted in Panama by Varela Hermanos, a 100 year old firm that not only distills these highly acclaimed rums, but even grows their own sugar cane. "I have known the Varela family for many years," says Bonchick. "They are totally committed to producing a world class spirit. We were friends, before we were business partners. Ron Abuelo is well known by spirits aficionados and we look forward to expanding the U.S. market. With this quality and family commitment, Ron Abuelo and Rum Jumbie will claim its place in the winner's circle."

"We are very pleased to be working hand in hand with Norman Bonchick and his team," said Daniel Fabrega. "Their professionalism, dedication and in-depth knowledge of the U.S. market is the expertise that we need to move Ron Abuelo to the next level of sales and brand recognition. We know how to make exceptional rum and now we have a truly exceptional team to help it expand to the market."

Norman Bonchick adds, "We will be introducing the new Ron Abuelo Anejo 12 year old rum to the U.S. market later this year. This complex, smooth rum has already won the coveted Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition-which is an excellent calling card for this stellar run."

When I dream up a better job, I'm going to take it. In the meantime, the research continues.
