Not sure of my odds with this either, but as it hasn't cost me any money yet, it might be worth a try. My sister-in-law is trying it with some Kalik Beer and the new Sands Beer, with a few bottles of rum. So will wait to see if this works for her first. There appear to be a great deal of Cuban rums available in the Bahamas these days. Probably because there are direct flights to Cuba. Maybe they now have shipping routes aswell. I just wish we could get more Cuban rums here. The direct flights no longer exsist, only charter flights. I guess I could go via Jamaica instead.
