Yes, a bottle of the rum that I would love to have....It is probably a lucky thing I cant understand Italian. 148 Euro roughly converts to about 210 American?
I would pay that, I think...Is that 8,200 Euro for the Saint James?
There were quite a few interesting rums as I scrolled down the page after clicking on the Saint James.

That seems very reasonable to me. The current St. James Hors de Age is one of my favorites. But I have no idea as to the quality being made at that time.

That is what i`m concerned about, maybe the quality has declined after so long time?

I am very hesitant to purchase alcohol from Ebay. After reading loads re counterfeit scotches, it has become apparent fraud is alive and well on ebay. Granted, scotch is a more lucrative field than rum. One would hope the counterfeiting is limited to that spirit. Still, I can't help being reluctant.

28 Euro seems a bit cheap for such an old bottle. Once again, all that matters is how they produced the rhum back then, how long it was aged, etc. 28 surely seems like a great price.
