I was just invited by the importers of Juan Santos (Known everywhere else as Ron Santero Rum) to be the first to taste their brand new 25 Year Old Rum. This is supposed to be a fully aged non Solero - 25 year old rum from Columbia (The Casa Santana Distillery (http://www.casasantana.com)).

Apparently, they will be receiving the very first sample bottle to enter Canada soon and I have been invited to join the pour. They will also pour off a suitably sized sample for me to provide a review. (A glass 200ml sterilized sample bottle which I am bringing to the pour.)

I loved the Juan Santos 21 Year old Rum (you can find the review on my website) and I am hoping that the last 4 years in the barrel have brought the flavour over the top. We will see, and I will keep you posted with a review as soon as I am able.

Wow...given how much I liked the entire Juan Santos lineup (not the least being the 21) - I can't wait to get my paws on this one. Any idea of when it formally goes on sale?

Hi Lance

They are hoping to have it on the shelves by Christmas, but sometimes the AGLC takes its time to list new products, My understanding is that price will be north of 200.
