Greetings to all. I hope that everyone had a Happy Rum infused Holiday Season. Any way. I saw this Artical in the Feb.2011 issue of Islands Mag. I thought I would share it with you and possibly get some input on it.

1 1/2 oz Appleton Estate Rum (Jamacia)
Dash of Angostura bitters
1/2 oz of Senior Curacao (Curacao)

1/2 oz Goombay Punch (Bahamas)
3 oz of POG Juice (Hawai'i)
Floater of Rhum Barbancourt (Haiti)
and of course Lime.

It sound great but if you do not have the ingredients could be rough.
Any one have suggestions for substitutions?

P.S. Did any one else catch Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe last night? He was in Newport R.I. making Rum . Funny and informative as well.

I thought Dirty Jobs was tonight. Guess I'll have to catch the reruns.

I've drunk a lot of Goombay Punch in the Bahamas but never found one with pomegranate juice or made with Barbancourt. Most of the punch in the Bahamas is heavy on orange, pineapple and local rum, which used to be Matusalem, when it was made there, one of the Don Ricardo rums, or another local rum bottled under a variety of names.
