Hi Everyone!

I hope you've all had a nice break and enjoyed the festivities.

My flat mate has just cracked open a bottle of Lemon Hart given to him by a family member and I wanted to try and find out a little more information on it.

I'm aware that Lemon Hart was sold to a Canadian distillery and that production ceased last year. I can't however; find any reference to this particular bottle or blend(?).

Given the wax coated cork top (cork has perished) and having been told that it's very old, were keen to find out exactly how old it is. Maybe cracking it open wasn't such a great idea?

I don't know how old that bottle is but there were a number of rums bottled under the Lemon Hart label, some of those rums were from Jamaica and some were from Guyana.

In as much as this is listed as Liqueur on the label, my guess is that it was a sweetened rum, but it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong.

thanks for the response Ed. I was hoping the markings on the bottom of the bottle would give someone a clue as to it's age an location of production. There's certainly no evidence on the label.

I don't think it's been sweetened (?). It tastes like paint stripper >:(
