I am from Massachusetts. I am pretty much an exclusive rum drinker. I like the Carribbean punches and simple rum & diet coke. I'm not much of a straight up drinker even with the aged rums.
At this point I would say my favorite rums are Zaya Grand Reserve & 10 Cane. But I have had manny other rums over the years and have liked a lot of them. My "staple" rums to always have in stock at home are Myers Dark & Mount Gay.
I was recently in Grand Cayman sitting at a bar with my daughter having a rum punch. I noticed a gentlemen on the other side of the bar hand writing on some bottles. Come to find out I was sitting at the bar where they make Seven Fathoms rum. They hand number all of their bottles. So I brought a bottle home. That's just one of many rum stories I have.
