Hello All!!
I am currently a student at the University of Vermont and a enthusiastic rum drinker. I started with mixed drinks and such and have recently started enjoying rum on the rocks. I'm looking to increase my knowledge of rum(and my pallet! :D). So far(still being relatively young) I have only experienced a small number of different rums and would love to learn about new and interesting styles to drink.
Cheers to you all!

Welcome. The MoR will be a great resource for you. I get some of my best rum news and notes here.
Great place Bennington. I have family in North Pownal. I've never had the occasion to by rum in Bennington, are there some places that stock more than Bacardi and Captain Morgan?
Hi and welcome to the forum.
Burlington is a nice town. I was there only last month on vacation.
The selection in Vermont is a bit limited. Interesting choices IMO are limited to Mount Gay Extra Old, Appleton Estate 12yr, Pampero Aniversario and Barbancourt. If you can go to West Lebanon NH has a slightly better selection and better pricing. There you can have Zacapa 23yrs and Clement VSOP, and Pampero is way cheaper (half price actually).

Love the name, my family (going all the way up to grandparents) have been skiing killington just about every weekend since the sixties. Nothing better than a foot of fresh, atleast 100 under the foot, then a feast at night and something to sip. I recently bought a couple bottles of clement creole shrubb in VT cheap, cause they were on sale. small glass with ice, nice big fat slice of an orange peel, and the shrubb and enjoy. Welcome aboard and save some pow for me
