Anyone familiar with this rum? I went to an estate sale and "bought the bottle" and contents conveyed! It looks very old but don't know for sure. Cork and embossed cork cover is in place. The cover has a little damage but you can clearly see Finzi, etc. on it. The link below is to a copy of the label I found online. Mine is still on the bottle and is in better shape. Also, any experiance out there with old bottled/corked rums and drinkability? I don't have any idea about the conditions it was stored under. As expected, it does have a little white-ish residue/sediment in bottom of bottle. Any info would be appreciated. And, just to head off any questions, it is not for sale.

Please post a picture of your actual bottle for reference. Outside of that a google search gives:

"Recently, the companies of Edwin Charley Jamaica Ltd., Estate Distributors (which includes Daniel Finzi & Co., purveyors of fine wines, spirits and liqueurs), Sangster's and Wray and Nephew have come together to form the Wray and Nephew Group owned by the Lascelles deMercado Group. A few local rum distributors such as National Rums continue to operate independently."

This info from:http://www.jamaica-gleaner.com/pages/history/story0030.html

This makes me think this was a "house" brand but I really do not know. Not much came up on the web for me so hopefully someone has some other historical reference. Interesting find.
