after numerous emails it is confirmed! Going to Oliver & Oliver factory tomorrow! As you know they produce rums like Opthimus, Quorhum, Cubaney, Vizcaya and many others. I found some info on their web page www.oliverinternacional.com but if you know something i dont know let me know. Are there any curiosities or unanswered questions about this company? yay.gif

Great!
I can't wait to hear about your tour. Please report back!
I'd love to know more about these following products, Unhiq (age especially), Opthimus and Quorhum. Most information is in spanish, in which I'm very limited.
Also, where is the distillery located? What is the history of it?
Thanks and have fun!

tour sounds awesome, if they don't distill there own, then who do they have do the distilling for them? Also if it isn't too forward could you ask why many of there brands target the same niche?

Good luck with the tour. I was going to go there in January of this year but had a sudden change of plans. It will be interesting to hear about your visit.

you'd better stay on these forums Pkazimir, from everything I've heard the DR is one of those places where theres tons of hard to find rums and price varies by location. Always good to have a person on location!

Wow pkazimir, thats all I can say. That was one of the better reads I've had online in awhile. I loved the pictures as well, beautifully showing the solera system. I tried commenting on your blog but ran into trouble so I'll just comment here. If you get a chance tell us what you think of the other rums in there line up. I've had the Vizcaya and atlantico but how about the opthimus and cubaney line?

pkazmir now you are making things hard for me. I can only bring back so much rum from my trip and with your write ups I have a list of 5-6 i'd like to bring back. This is not going to be an easy task
