Appleton 151 (Gold/White) and Appleton Dark rums are not shown on Appleton websites. Does anyone know if the rums are still in production? If not, can anyone tell me when they were discontinued? Thanks.

Hi, Rum Collector, I always remeber you as the guy with "THE Rum Collection"!
Anyway, I have not seen either in Mexico, lately. I've never seen it, out west, in the US. But, then again, I only have about 6 years of rum experience.
Arctic Wolf posted a review of the 151:

Perhaps, he can tell us where he bought his bottle.

The 151 can be found at rumworld. The dark comes up on ebay from time to time. Usually about 35 - 40 dollars.

Sorry, I though you wanted to know where they could be found. I gotta read more carefully.

My bottle of Appleton Dark 151 was given to me by a friend who said he bought in Jamaica and that it is still readily available there. Having not been there myself, I cannot verify or refute this claim but it is not uncommon for any spirits company to produce one product locally that is not available for export.
It is equally plausible that that the product has been discontinued, but the local stores have not ran out yet.

Thanks for the replies rumdog, Ellis, and Wolf. The next time I get to Jamaica I will pick up a couple more bottles for the collection. I'm not sure how I am going to get them (along with the other overproof) thru to the states. Maybe I will get lucky.

When you go, make SURE to get some of the master legacy and any other blend that Appleton makes that is not sold in the states. As far as the Legacy, I can be sure you will appreciate it. :)
