Hi there. I'm from SoCal and discovered the Ministry of Rum while researching my first rum-love, Zaya. Since then I've been mostly a lurker, reading the posts and learning what I can about rum. While I was mostly a gin man for the last several years, rum was something of a gateway to the darker spirits. I'm so glad I've gone over to the dark side!
I look forward to learning more and to contributing from time to time.

Welcome to the forums bigmalo. I was a pleasure to meet you and your compatriots at the tasting last weekend. No doubt you discovered some new rums. We all need some more vices.
Enjoy the forum.

Welcome in Bigmalo - have fun.
We're not all like Ed, however, I certainly do NOT need any more vices! I'm at my vice-limit

Is that really possible?

My fiance is in the process of polishing off my rough edges, Tiare. I'm confident I could accommodate a few more vices, but she isn't so sure.....

Welcome, BigMalo! glass.gif
BTW, rum led me to gin via the Rum & Tonic.

Paul, no matter how polished you will be, underneath you`ll always be a rum-pirate.
Welcome Bigmalo, rum is lovely and so is gin and all the other spirits too for that matter, (apart from vodka even though it too has its place and use) but i think rum is best.

Welcome, BigMalo!
For me, it was the other way around.....gin & tonic lead me to rum & tonic!
